Types of Weed Control Services
Generally, Perm-O-Green uses two types of weed control:
- Pre-Emergent Weed Control: To prevent seeds from germinating, we apply pre-emergent materials that target broadleaf weeds, crabgrass, and other grassy weeds. Because pre-emergents do not prevent the growth of all types of weeds and have limited duration, applications must be repeated on and off throughout the year. Full program customers will receive at least three applications.
- Post-Emergent Weed Control: For weeds that have already germinated, weed control materials are absorbed by the weed and translocated throughout the plant, thus killing the entire weed. The type of post-emergent used will depend on the type of weed we're targeting.
